The Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji says his administration has been deliberate in striking a balance between infrastructure development and human capital development in order to prepare the people for the necessities of economic prosperity in the 21st century.

 

The Governor revealed this while hosting the Convener of the Guinness Record for the largest gathering of teachers in the world, Mr Oluwaseyi Anifowose at the Governor’s office in Ado Ekiti.

The Governor who explained that his administration was intentional in its huge investment in the education sector of the state, building relevant structures, fine-tuning school curriculum for 21st century relevance, providing con ducive environment for learning and utmost attention to teachers’ welfare.

 

He congratulated the Ado Ekiti born Guinness world record winner Mr Anifowose, saying that he had made the state proud once more, as a frontliner in the education sector of the country.

 

He promised to continue to engage such intellectually sound individuals in the educational development of the state.

 

Mr Anifowose who had earlier presented the award to the Governor, Lauded the government stride  in Education. He said the largest gathering of teachers in the world held in Lagos on the 20th of September this year was to give a voice to teachers in the educational management at both the national and sub-national levels.

 

 

He said that movement would strictly follow its communiqué to change the narratives of educational development in the country.

 

At the meeting were top government officials in the various  MDAs in charge of education in the state.
