The leadership of EKiti State Branch of the Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) Alumni Association held its first executive council meeting, where some resolutions were made.
The resolutions regard updates in building development foundation for the association.
Part of the updates given by the Chairman Mr Segun Adebayo was the readiness and openness of the Bank Account of the association for transaction and the financial returns from the electoral committee led by Mr Oluwaseun Ogunsakin.
Mr Adebayo commended the electoral committee members : Mr. O’Seun Ogunsakin – Chairman
Mrs Abiola Jide Abe – Secretary, Mr. Ayeni Adebayo for a job well done at ensuring transparency, accountability and selflessness in discharging their duties.
According to a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Association, Yemi Olajutemu, the chairman said it was amazing that the committee, without any fund mobilisation from the Association for its assignment, raised funds, after expending so much on the logistics for election and the get together party, still returned fund to the association.
Speaking differently but unanimous, the Exco members gave kudos to the committee, noting that handlers of government and decision makers across government and non governmental organizations must take cues from the gesture of the committee members.
The meeting also availed members of the executive the opportunity to discuss the prospects for the remaining months in 2023 as well as the planned programme for the coming year.
The chairman Mr Adebayo who urged all Excos to be ready and prepared for service, charged them to propagate and extend hands of fellowship to other inactive members of the association within the state.
It was also resolved that a virtual business meeting will hold in the 1st week of October 2023 to develop intrepreneurship drive wherein members will be tutored on the process of securing NAFDAC approval whilst innovations and products of members will also be exhibited.
