Ekiti Albinism Network Association, Marks International Women’s Day, Calls for more inclusive society

Geared towards advancing gender equality, the Albinism Network Association (ANA) Ekiti State has sent strong message in commemoration of International Women’s Day in Ado Ekiti, drawing attention to the achievements and challenges of women throughout Ekiti State and beyond.

ANA’s Executive Lead, Mr Muyiwa Abegunde explained in a Statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, the resilience, strength, and determination of women who have paved the way for future generations.

“Today, we honor the trailblazers and encourage every woman to claim her space in decision-making processes,” Abegunde said, emphasizing the importance of continued advocacy for equal opportunities.

He acknowledged significant progress made by both state initiatives and the efforts of non-state actors dedicated to women’s empowerment while commending the local government policies aimed at promoting economic and social development for women.

He stressed that more work remains, particularly in increasing women’s participation in politics and leadership roles.
