The Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji has received the 50 million Naira expression of interest and the Nomination forms bought for him last week by the global leadership of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association at the APC national Secretariat Abuja.
At the event which was held at the conference hall of the Governor’s office in Ado Ekiti, the Governor pledged that his administration will continue to develop infrastructure, curriculum and individuals in the education sector of the state, as well as other development projects and programs which has continued to earn him the support and empathy of the people of the state.

The EKSU alumni association led by the global president Mr Seyi Idowu unveiled the EKSU ALUMNI Solidarity Group meant to execute for house to house and social media campaign for the second term bid of the administration noting that the Governor has satisfactorily fulfilled the aspirations of the members by raising the banner of governance in the state.
The Director General of the Solidarity Group Mr Dipo Bamisaiye also explained that the governor had proven to be a good leader and vibrant administrator, able to unite all fronts and harmonize different interest for the peace and development of the state.
He noted that the Alumni painstakingly reviewed the activities of the Government in the last three years, recording agricultural revolution for food security, rural development of town and villages as well as and urban renewal of the state capital among other infrastructural development across sectors in the state.
Other members of the association including the Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, Mr Bimbo Daramola, Mr Tope Adebayo, Mrs Bola Adeoluwa and the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Ayodele Babatola explained that the Governor had shown exceptional character and leadership, strategic thinking and implementations helping to reshape the fortunes of the University to becoming the best state University in the last ranking.
The Leader of the Senate and Life Patron of the EKSU global Alumni Association, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele commended the Alumni, charging them to be vibrant campaigner of the good work of the administration, noting that some political elements had resolved to mischievously continue to attack the government because of the state of the federal road in the state.
He said that the Governor had been engaging everyone that matter on the road, including the presidency, which resulted into the awarding of the roads and fund appropriated for them.
Responding, the Governor who thanked the global body of the alumni, said the government has rescued the University through the strategic constitution of the governing council and the management team as well as various interventions including increase in the subvention accruable to the institution, noting more actions are underway to make the university a pride of the nation.
He availed the opportunity to reassure the people of his readiness for the Primaries of the APC and the general election saying that his achievements were enough to defeat opponents.
Governor Oyebanji charged the people to translate their empathy for his government to physical campaign in order to prevent Ekiti state from what he called political hijackers.
