The Ekiti State Head of Service Mrs. ‘Peju Babafemi has received the award of an outstanding Public Service Achiever given by the International Inner wheel Clubs in Nigeria.
The ceremony was part of the activities marking the 35th annual conference of the Inner Wheel Organisation in Akure, Ondo State where the executive and members of National body of the Inner wheel Club were in attendance.
The event availed the eminent individuals the opportunities to deliberate on the challenges facing women development across the country.
The Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs. Peju Babafemi, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi, thanked the organisation for the recognition.

Mrs. Babafemi commended the organization for its relentless efforts in providing succour for the less privileged and the support for women development while promising that the recognition would gear her to do more in human development.
She remarked that it was time for women to support one another in achieving sustainable development.
The Hon. Minister for Women Affairs and Social development, who was the Guest speaker and an awardee, Her Excellency Dame Paullen Tallen OFR,KSC, represented by Mr Femi Alata remarked that her Ministry had assisted many women in special programmes across the nation with various pilot programmes.
The National President of the Inner Wheel Clubs in Nigeria, Mrs. Monilola Bamisaiye, stated that the organisation was established as a charity club to assist women across the globe.
She said that 2022 Oyemekun rally tagged ” Pink first, women helping women and girls ” is geared towards building the strength of women to be able to help one another for a better world.
Inner Wheel Clubs movement started in 1924 in Manchester by Oliver Golding, expanded to other parts of the world and Lagos Nigeria on 15th, July 1966.
The awardees are the Minister of WomenAffairs and Social Development, Her Excellency,Dame Pauline Tallen, Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs. Peju Babafemi, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Public and Inter-Governmental Relations, Dr. Olubunmi Ademosun, The Vice-Chancellor, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology Ikere Ekiti, Prof Olufemi Adeoluwa, an astute University Administrator, Mrs Bolanle Adeoluwa and others.
