First Female Governorship Candidate in Ekiti, Kemi Elebutte-Halle, donates borehole to police Community

 

….says she is committed to people’s welfare..

The First Female Gubernatorial Candidate in Ekiti State, Mrs Kemi Elebutte-Halle has commenced the drilling of a motorized boreholes in the Police Headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the state Capital to boost their access to potable water.

Mrs Elebutte-Halle, who was represented by her husband, Otunba Haim Halle an Engineer while speaking during the supervision of the borehole, said the project when completed would mitigate the challenge of water in the headquarters

He said that his wife’s various self help projects was part of her ways of giving back to the society especially to the downtrodden.

“People called her Erelu Bambam, she is doing all these things to benefit the people of the state, she gives to various sectors of people ranging from the market women, scholarship to indigents students, offset hospital bills of the less privileged, so the ” Halle remarked.

He advised people who God has blessed to always reach out to the less privileged irrespective of their tribes, colors or political leanings.

“It is good to be good to others irrespective of where they are from, who they are and wether you can get something back from them or not, by giving to the needy and providing for out neighbors, Nigeria will become a better place for all, He stated.”

Also the Chairman, Ekiti State Police Community Relations Committee, Ambassador Sunday Makinde said that the borehole would put an end to the major problem of water supply in the facility.

 

He said: “I am very familiar with the men of the force, in my dealings with them I discovered that one of their major problems is water. I then decided to move around to see those who can help us out, Mrs Kemi Elebutte-Halle, a woman of great virtues came to our rescue by financing the project.

She is a blessing to our generation and we are lucky to have her in the state, she is doing all these without any pecuniary gains, I want to appreciate her on behalf of the police community and the state government, he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Police Force, the Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu lauded the efforts of Mr Kemi Elebutte-Halle adding that she had contributed her quota to the development of the nation at large

 

The Personal Assistant to Mrs Ellebute Halle, Mr Segun Adeyemi, and a water Consultant, Dr Mark Makinde described the gesture of Mrs Ellebute Halle as commendable noting that it further enhance their jobs.

“Clean water is one of the needs of our people and this is a veritable opportunity to give to the society, Mrs Kemi Elebutte-Halle, Erelu BamBam as fondly called has indeed showed that she is a mother who has compassion for her people, they said”

They said that the Borehole was one of series of community Projects embarked upon by Mrs Ellebute Halle who had through a group she founded, Dominion Group impacted many lives positively.

“Erelu BamBam has a group called Dominion Group and a lot of people have benefitted from her gesture, two weeks ago we empowered hundreds of people ranging from #200,000 to #2,000,000, some to continue thier Education, some to offset thier bills, and some to start business, they noted

They said government alone could not provide the necessary social amenities and facilities for all, and urged everyone to support government to serve the people better
