The Permanent Secretary, Ekiti state Ministry of Finance, Mr Oluwadare Jolumo has charged staff members to be alive and upright in their obligations and duty posts as well as relate well with one another.
Mr Jolumo, gave the charge during the inaugural prayer meeting for the staff of the ministry to usher them into another working year, where he advised them to conduct themselves in a manner that would invariably earn them career fulfillment in the civil service.
Welcoming the staff to a new working year, Mr. Jolumo implored them to exhibit unwavering commitment, faithfulness, and diligence in their duties, reminding them of their allegiance to the state government and restated their accountability to both humanity and God.
He commended the Finance Commissioner, Mr. Akintunde Oyebode, for his leadership and commitment to staff welfare during the Christmas and New Year celebrations facilitated by the commissioner’s thoughtful gestures.
The ceremony further celebrated the excellence within the ministry, with four exceptional staff members—Mr. Olakiyesi Joseph, Mr. Jegede Olawale, Mrs. Olufemi Tolulope, and Adeleye Matthew—receiving the prestigious Award of Excellence for their noteworthy contributions.
In his admonition, Mr. Jolumo further commended the Commissioner for finance and the management for the initiative to honor and recognize exemplary service.
He urged the awardees to view the accolades as a motivational strategy, encouraging them to seize every opportunity to excel in their future endeavors.
