The founder of the Prince Adeyinka Ali Foundation (PAAF), Prince Adeyinka Ali, has called on all levels of government to ensure education is accessible and affordable for all, regardless of race, religion, or social status.

Prince Ali made this appeal during the 2024 Children’s Day celebration held across various locations in Ekiti State. Speaking to journalists, he emphasized the importance of his foundation’s work in supporting children’s education and overall development.

“We recognize that children are the heart of our world, bringing joy and completeness. Celebrating them is essential to show our appreciation,” Prince Ali stated. “PAAF is among the few NGOs in Ekiti dedicated to this cause, and we welcome government collaboration to enhance our efforts in bringing smiles to children’s faces.”

He further expressed his vision for Ekiti State: “I want an Ekiti where our children can compete globally. I encourage all Ekiti children to stay committed to their education, and I urge the state government to join hands with us in this mission. Education is a key focus for Ekiti, and together, we can ensure our children thrive.”

The Children’s Day celebration extended to Delightsome Orphanage Home, where PAAF donated food items and gifts, spreading joy among the orphans.

Addressing President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Prince Ali remarked, “Given the challenging economic situation inherited by this government, it’s unrealistic to expect immediate transformation. Despite some mistakes and unfulfilled promises, we are making progress. We have integrated local content, and although there’s more work ahead, I give the administration a passing grade.”

Parents at the event echoed concerns about the high cost of living in Nigeria, which has made it difficult for many households to adequately care for their children. They urged children to remain focused on their education and to persevere despite the nation’s socio-economic challenges.

The call for affordable education and continued support for children’s welfare remains a crucial agenda for PAAF and its founder, as they strive to build a better future for the next generation in Ekiti State and beyond.
