Infrastructure Revamp: Ifedara LCDA Chairman Ogunsanya Engages Tipper Association, Drivers, and Sand Suppliers, Unveils Revenue Generation Strategies

For an enhanced collaboration and to harness government assistance for community development, the Chairman of Ifedara Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ekiti State, Mr. Lawrence Ogunsanya has continued to dialogue with key stakeholders, including the representatives from the Tipper Association, Drivers, and Sand Suppliers in the area.

The dialogue, a significant step towards inclusive governance and grassroots engagement served as a platform to enlighten the association members on viable revenue generation strategies, with Chairman delineating earmarked projects, which focus on infrastructural upgrades, particularly, road rehabilitation and provision of essential social amenities.

Emphasizing the importance of registration with the council, Ogunsanya elucidated the potential for contract opportunities aligned with local content development policies, thereby encouraging active participation in community development initiatives.

Discussions during the session delved into the pressing issue of infrastructure, with particular attention drawn to the deplorable state of roads in areas such as Iworoko, Are, Afoa, and Igbemo.
The Vice Chairman Mr. Sola Olowojebutu who highlighted the necessity for caution to avert recurrent road damages, stressed the importance of sustainable infrastructure management.

The council’s management team, represented by Director of Administration Mr. Alade and Rate Officer, reiterated the importance of cooperation and support from stakeholders to actualize grassroots development plans, emphasizing the collective responsibility towards community advancement.

Commending the proactive initiatives undertaken by the new administration, the Chairman of the Association and Deputy Chairman at the state level, Rev. Idowu Richard, along with members Mr. Adeyeye Babatope, Mr. Ogooli, and Mr. Agamogo Adetunji, expressed optimism regarding the tenure’s potential for significant developmental strides.

Pledging adherence to regulations and steadfast support for the council’s endeavors, they offered prayers for the administration’s success.

Also in attendance were the Secretary to the Council, Hon. Afolabi Ariyo, the Head of Local Authority, Engineer Falade, and the Director of Administration, Mr. Alade, signifying a collective commitment towards fostering sustainable development and enhancing the welfare of the community.
