The Olukere of Ikere Ekiti, Odo Oja, Oba Abdulganiyu Ayodele Obasoyin (Okomolose 2) has felicitated with the Muslims in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State and Nigeria on this year’s Eid el Kabir festival.
In his Goodwill message, Oba Obasoyin described Muslims in Ikere Ekiti as good patriots and ambassadors of not only the town but also the entire country.
Olukere admonished the Muslim faithful to use this year’s Eid-el Kabir celebration to promote love, peaceful coexistence and imbibe the lessons of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim.
ObaObasoyin said: “As we celebrate Eid-el Kabir this year, I join Muslim faithful across the country to share in the felicity of this “Ileya Festival”. The Eid-el-Kabir comes with significant lessons for mankind. It is a symbolic Islamic festival that is a constant reminder to us that, there will always be great rewards when we have perseverance in trying periods; diligence in prayers and tenacity in our belief.
Olukere who saluted the courage of President Bola Tinubu on the steps taken so far in moving the nation forward, called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for the economic stability of the country, while urging him not to disappoint the Yoruba race.
Also commending Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for keeping to his promises for the citizens in the last 8 months of assumption, Olukere charged him not to relent especially in ensuring the timely completion of Ikere-Akure road dualization to ease vehicular movement and as well see to the epileptic power supply being experienced in Ikere Ekiti.
“I felicitate with Governor Biodun Oyebanji and all the entire people of Ekiti State, particularly the good people of Ikere Ekiti, Odo Oja on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir. May Allah (SWT) grant us His grace to celebrate many of it in good health and wealth,” Oba Obasoyin said.
