The Executive Chairman of EKiti West Local Government Area Hon Sesan Okere has extolled the peaceful co-existence of muslims and Christians in the LG which has resulted to unfettered development.
The chairman who charged the muslims faithful to use the Eld-el-Kabir celebration which is the hallmark of sacrifice, kindness, genuine love and prayers to resonate in their daily lives for the peace and development of EKiti West, Ekiti State and Nigeria at large said it was important to imbibe the lessons of the festival for peace and development of our society.
The Council boss enjoined them to extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged as exemplified by Prophet Mohammad who lived for the downtrodden.
Okere further assured residents of the Local government of adequate security of lives and properties as they celebrate Sallah.
The chairman who said his administration has been able to show forth Democratic deliverables and dividends to the people through various projects including reconstruction of Health centre at Oke Oja Aramoko Ekiti And construction of Class rooms in the secondary school in the area as well as other road and agricultural projects wished them Happy Sallah.
He prayed Allah to spare them to celebrate many Eld-el-Kabir on Earth in comfort and peace of mind, saying that more live changing programme would be embarked upon before the expiration of his tenure as chairman.
