1975/1980 Alumni of A.G.S Igbara Oke, Ondo Mourns Demise of Member, Raises fund to suppport Family

The 1975/1980 set of Anglican Grammar School, Igbara -Oke, Ondo State says the demise of one of their prominent members  Mrs Olufunke Arinde (nee Atona) was a great shock as she left a vacuum difficult to fill amidst the alumni association.

The Chairman of the Old Students Association  Dr Alaba Ajiye Who led a team of delegates to pay a condolence visit to the family of the deceased described the deceased as a loving and kind creature whose impact was felt by all and sundry during her lifetime.

The chairman who presented a cheque of over Two hundred thousand Naira to the representative of the family said the gesture was to extend hands of love to the family she left behind.

The former Deputy Chairman of the Association Dr Ibitola Makinde who was joined virtually by other members of the alumni including the Former Chairman of the Association, Mr Ayo Akinmoladun, presented the cheque to Master Kamiye Arinde, the first son of the deceased.

Dr Makinde  charged the children to be good ambassador of their late mother while she prayed for God’s protection over them.

She noted that the association will continue to render assistance to the family, promising that she will personally answer their calls anytime they are in need.

In his remarks, Mr Kamiye Arinde Whose voice was emotionally laden thanked all the members of the association for the gesture, describing it as thoughtful considering the good legacies of his late mother.

He promised to continue in the good path his mother laid.
