One of the Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ido Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State Dr Ayodeji Ayodele Dada, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his proactiveness at ensuring the release of pupils and teachers of The Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primary School, abducted by gunmen at Eporo in Emure Ekiti last week Monday.
The Orin Ekiti born philanthropist cum political juggernaut who spoke from his base in the United States of America on Sunday also lauded Mr Oyebanji for his Swift intervention in attending to the medical needs of the victim by instantly directing a team of medical personel led by the Commisioner for Health, Dr Oyebanji Filani immediately the victims were freed from the camp of their abductors.
“First and Foremost, I want to thank God for the successful rescue of the victims and equally I will like to commend Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his timely intervention, it shows that the Governor is a God sent and on top of the situation in the state, having secured the release of the pupils and their teachers, he personally visited them at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, in Ado where they are receiving medical attention. This is highly commendable” Dr Dada remarked.
The APC Stalwart also praised the Governor for sending a Government delegation led by the Deputy Governor, Chief ( Mrs) Okinlua Monisade Afuye to sympathise with the family of the slain driver of The Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primary School, Emure Ekiti, Mr. Taiwo Olugbaye, who was murdered in the kidnappers ‘den.
“Though, the death of the slain driver is highly excruciating, but we have to thank God for the lives of the pupils and teachers that were brought back alive, all the government and we’ll meaning individuals in the society to do now is to support the family members of the deceased” Dr Dada stated.
He urged the state government not to relent until the unscrupulous elements who are perpetrating heinous and horrendous criminal activities in the state are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.
Dr Dada also expresed his displeasure over the gruesome killing of two monarchs in the Ekiti North Senatorial District of the state, the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunji Olusola; and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsola, who were returning from a security meeting at Irele-Ekiti on Monday, January 29
“ I was devastated when I heard the news of the horrifying killing of two of our traditional rulers, this is barbaric and a total desecration of our highly revered and extolled stool, this is totally unacceptable and we all own it a duty to nip such dastardly acts in the bud , afterall security is everybody business, he lamented”.
Dr Dada who extended his condolence to the families of the deceased Monarchs and the slain driver also sympathized with the Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and Ekiti people at large on the loss.
He noted that he was not unaware of the various steps being taking by the government to make sure that criminals are not given any breathing space in Ekiti and appealed to the Governor and other relevant Stakeholders to be resolute in their quest to rid the state of criminals.
