The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun has congratulated one of the alumni, Dr Vincent Olatunji on his appointment as the National Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement by the head, Directorate of information and Corporate Affairs of the Institution, Mr Bode Olofinmuagun, Professor Olanipekun expressed joy as he described Dr Olatunji as a worthy ambassador of the University.
The Vice Chancellor further noted that the appointment was well deserved due to Olatunji’s track record of diligence, excellence and hardwork, charging him to keep the flag flying.
Professor Olanipekun commended the philanthropic gesture of Olatunji who at a time donated over #300 Million worth of ICT equipment to the university.
The Vice Chancellor thanked President Buhari for considering Dr Olatunji worthy of the appointment which would make him contribute more to National growth and development.
Dr Olatunji was until the appointment, the Director, eGovernment Development and Regulations of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
