As the new month begins, the Director-General of the Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship (BCOC), Hon. Mrs. Olawumi Famuyiwa, has extended warm greetings to the people of Ekiti State, expressing hopes for renewed joy, prosperity, and unity across the state.
In a goodwill message marking the beginning of May and commemorating Workers’ Day, Famuyiwa lauded the resilience and dedication of Ekiti workers, describing them as the driving force behind the state’s continued progress and development.
She stated, “Your dedication and commitment are the backbone of our progress. Thank you for your tireless efforts in building a better Ekiti.”
Famuyiwa also emphasized the importance of upholding the Omoluabi ethos—values of integrity, respect, and hard work that she said are essential to building a strong and united community.
“I urge everyone to imbibe the Ekiti Omoluabi ethos,” she said. “Let us continue to uphold these values in our daily lives, fostering a community that thrives on mutual respect and collective growth.”
She further called on the people of the state to continue supporting the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, whom she described as a visionary leader committed to inclusive governance, transparency, and grassroots development.
According to Famuyiwa, the governor’s people-oriented policies and unwavering focus on improving the welfare of citizens require the collective backing of all Ekitis to succeed.
She urged citizens not to relent in their prayers, encouragement, and constructive engagement with the government, noting that the success of the Oyebanji administration would translate into sustainable development for the state.
Famuyiwa reiterated that the Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship would continue to play its part in promoting civic responsibility, social harmony, and active participation in governance across communities.
The Director-General concluded her message by wishing all citizens a fruitful and fulfilling month ahead, while reaffirming her commitment to strengthening the bond between government and the people.
