AAUA Alumni Hail Temitope Olohuniyo’s Appointment to Ekiti State Education Trust Board, Laud Gov. Oyebanji’s Recognition of Dedicated Young Leaders

Following the appointment of Mr. Temitope Olohuniyo as a member of the Ekiti State Education Trust Board by the Ekiti State Governor Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, the Ekiti state Chapter of the Adekunle Ajasin University Alumni Association has congratulated the distinguished former student leader, describing the appointment as well deserved.

The Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji had last week announced the appoint Mr. Temitope Olohuniyo, a former local government legislator representing Orin/Ora ward.

In a statement issued by the Ekiti AAUA Alumni Association, and signed by the president, Mr. Segun Adebayo, the group congratulated Olohuniyo, emphasizing that his integrity and commitment to community service had earned him such a reward and call for service.

The statement which described Olohuniyo’s appointment as a testament to his leadership qualities and commitment to the development of his home state said his remarkable trajectory in student leadership has long marked him as a prominent figure among the Ekiti indigenes, particularly those within the academic and political spheres.

“His tenure as FESSU President and Senate President in 2013 and 2014 respectively was noted for its emphasis on student welfare and advocacy for better educational facilities. We are particularly delighted that Olohuniyo’s involvement in leadership continued when he was elected as the Leader of the House in the Ido Osi Local Government Legislative Council.” the statement reads.

Its further explained that “His political journey has been a source of pride for the Ekiti State Chapter of the AAUA Alumni Association, and we have been following his career with great interest and admiration. As treasurer of the Ekiti State Chapter of the AAUA Alumni Association, Olohuniyo has consistently demonstrated leadership capabilities, handling the association’s financial matters with a level of transparency and accountability. His appointment to the Education Trust Board is a natural progression for a man who has spent his life advocating for the betterment of Ekiti’s educational sector.” the statement added.

The group expressed confidence that Mr Olohuniyo will do his best in contributing to the development stride of the current administration in the education sector being an experienced technocrat and dynamic young leader.

“We have no doubt that he will bring the same level of dedication, transparency, and effectiveness to the Education Trust Board as he has demonstrated in his previous roles. We also extend our gratitude to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for recognizing and entrusting one of our own with this important responsibility.” remarked Mr Adebayo.

“The Education Trust Board plays a key role in shaping the future of education in Ekiti State, focusing on policy formulation, resource mobilization, and the development of strategies to enhance the educational sector. With Olohuniyo’s experience and passion for youth and educational development, we believe that he is uniquely positioned to contribute to the board’s mission. Governor Oyebanji’s decision to appoint Olohuniyo, along with several other members into his administration, is indeed another testimony of his inclusive governance strategy.”

Adebayo encouraged other young alumni to take inspiration from the journey of a man whom he said remained committed to serving his community with calm demeanor and strategic thinking that has consistently yielded positive results.
