Ayo Omotoso Movement AOM, a Frontline political group has started moves and massive campaign initiatives for the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The Convener of the Movement, Engineer Ayo Omotoso during the inauguration and familiarization meeting of the AOM4BAT Coordinators in the sixteen Local Government Areas of the state at the De Grace Hotel on Ado-Ilawe, Ado Ekiti the State Capital, said that the group would build a strong structure at the grassroots with a view to sensitize and mobilise votes for the APC Presidential Flagbearer and his running mate.
Engineer Omotoso also charged Nigerians to support Tinubu’s candidacy, noting that Nigeria under his watch would witness unprecedented human capital development. positive economic and industrial revolution
“Once again, unequivocally I made bold to say that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best Presidential Candidate for the Nation at this precarious time when Nigeria is battling with security challenges and economic quagmire. AOM as a movement will not spare anything to ensure he gets highest vote in the 2023 presidential election. For us as a body to achieve this lofty idea, we are not only going to canvass and mobilise votes for our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we will also engage in voter education” Omotoso remarked.
In his remarks, chairman of the Movement, Alhaji Dauda Lawal described Tinubu as the most suitable, competent, detribalised and patriotic politician while charging the newly inaugurated coordinators in all the sixteen local Councils to roll out a house to house campaign to encourage youths and women participation in politics towards ensuring the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who he said has the competence and capacity to govern Nigeria.
Alhaji Lawal expressed the group’s readiness to engage more prominent Nigerians across party divides to support Tinubu’s emergence owing to his capacity to tackle the myriad of problems bedeviling the Nation.
“As you are been inaugurated, I want to challenge you all and also call on all our members and other Progressives from across the length and breadth of Nigeria to mobilise enmass for a Patriot and nationalist, and I believe this is the only way we can assist in bringing about the necessary changes needed in the country,” he said.
Speaking after the inauguration, the AOM coordinator for Ido/ Osi, Hon. Mrs.Folasade Oluwole, and her counterparts from Ekiti South West, Hon. Hellen Ogunrinde and
Hon. Ayoola Àyọkà, from Ijero Local governments said the group would join hands with other Progressives to achieve common goal of sensitizing and mobilising supporters at all levels considering the credibility and popularity of the APC Presidential candidate.
“We need proper and massive awareness to enlighten people of this great task that will restore hope for the future and it is important we take the mobilisation to the grassroots, especially to women, who do not have access to the internet but turn out in large numbers to vote on election days,’’ they said.
They said that the Jagaban of Borgu had lifted uncountable Nigerians out of poverty and helped actualised their dreams irrespective of their political, religion and ethnicity.
