In a heartwarming ceremony held at the Christ Apostolic Church’s Oke-Ibukun zonal Headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, bestowed glowing accolades upon the recently retired Head of Service, Barrister Bamidele Agbede.
The governor extolled Agbede as an unwavering and dependable public servant, and his words resonated deeply with those in attendance.
Governor Oyebanji’s effusive praise for Agbede was imbued with genuine emotion as he recounted their enduring friendship and shared their Public Servixe journey.
He emphasized that Agbede’s loyalty and dedication to his Public Service responsibilities were beyond question, making him a paragon of reliability.
The occasion, a Retirement Thanksgiving Service, held special significance for the governor.
He expressed his delight at participating in this event, which honoured Agbede’s meritorious service and recognized him as a distinguished ambassador of the Christ Apostolic Church’s Oke-Ibukun congregation.
Governor Oyebanji went a step further by pledging his unwavering support not only to the church but also to Agbede in what he intended donating for the Churh any future endeavours closely tied to its mission.
He passionately conveyed the belief that endeavours pursued with unwavering faith in God would inevitably yield abundant rewards, drawing from his own experience as a beneficiary of divine grace.
The sermon delivered by the Blessed Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Z. Olarewaju, during the service, resonated deeply with the congregation.
In his sermon, Pastor Olarewaju urged all present to approach their daily work with diligence and a spirit of helpfulness towards others.
He cited a biblical passage, Luke chapter 10 verse 25, to illustrate the importance of remembering those who extended a helping hand during times of adversity, those who influenced their life journeys, and those who showed compassion during moments of need.
The pastor’s words served as a poignant reminder of the significance of kindness and benevolence that should radiate amidst the people.
Barrister Bamidele Agbede, the centre of attention at this remarkable gathering, radiated fulfilment and gratitude to God for his unique way of life.
He reflected on his remarkable journey, which had commenced as an INEC officer who by faith transfer his service to the State Government Service before rising through the ranks to become the Head of Service in Ekiti State.
Agbede attributed his success and career trajectory to the unending grace of God.
The former Head of Service didn’t forget to express his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for creating an enabling environment that had contributed to his professional accomplishments.
He also heaped praise on the leadership of the public service and extended his gratitude to the entire Ekiti State workforce for their unwavering support during his tenure in the Cvil Service.
This illustrious event drew dignitaries from not only Ekiti State but also from regions far and wide.
The attendees, following the heartwarming ceremony, were treated to a lavish feast at the renowned Damlek Event Centre, concluding the celebration of Barrister Bamidele Agbede’s remarkable career and contributions to the Public Service of Ekiti State as a career Civil Servant and the Christ Apostolic Church’s Oke-Ibukun congregation.
