Barrister Odun Ayeni Rally Support for Oyebanji, Unveils Empowerment Scheme

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Ekiti State on Governance, Barr. Odunayo Ayeni, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, stressing the need for unity to consolidate the administration’s developmental strides.

Ayeni made the call during a meeting with APC members from Wards One and Two in Ikole West LCDA, where he highlighted the achievements of the Oyebanji-led government. He emphasized the importance of party cohesion, urging stakeholders to work towards ensuring the governor’s re-election.

Describing the gathering as a strategic engagement with grassroots members, Ayeni noted that Governor Oyebanji’s leadership has significantly transformed Ekiti State. He called for sustained support to further deepen the state’s development agenda.

As part of his commitment to grassroots empowerment, Ayeni rolled out an initiative to support party members, awarding cash gifts to over 40 dedicated APC loyalists. He also announced plans to establish a food bank in the two wards to provide relief for the aged and vulnerable.

Additionally, he pledged to sponsor ten young women—five from each ward—for Adire-making training at the Adire Ekiti Hub in Ado-Ekiti, with a startup package to aid their business takeoff.

Party leaders at the event commended Governor Oyebanji’s leadership, describing his administration as a model of good governance and development. They urged members to remain loyal to the APC and continue supporting government policies for the overall progress of the state.

Dignitaries present included Senator Cyril Fasuyi (representing Ekiti North Senatorial District), Ch. S.A. Abegide (party leader), Chairman of Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeyeye (APC Legal Adviser in Ekiti State), and local council chairpersons such as Mrs. Mosunmola Adeyemo (Ikole-West LCDA), Ch. Adebayo Ajayi Abass (Kajola LCDA), and Prince Michael Ogungbemi (Ajoni LCDA).

Others in attendance were Hon. Olusola Ajisola (Special Assistant to the Governor on Rural Relations), Mr. Olubayo Arowolo (Special Assistant on FADAMA), Hon. Akinlabi Idowu (Chairman, Ekiti State Forestry Commission), Hon. Olusola Olominu (Chairman, State Multi-purpose Credit Scheme), Hon. Kayode Ogunsakin (immediate past Chairman, Ikole West LCDA), APC Women Leader in Ikole Local Government, Olori Oluyemi Bosede, Ch. Mrs. Bukola Idowu, Hon. Amos Arowosafe, as well as women and community groups.

The meeting also witnessed the formal reception of new defectors into the APC, with the party emblem presented to them. Senator Cyril Fasuyi further bolstered party unity with generous donations to attendees.
