Be studious, BOUESTI Vice Chancellor, Adeoluwa charges new students

The Vice Chancellors Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Professor Olufemi Adeoluwa has enjoined all newly admitted students of the University to justify why they were admitted into the institution.

Adeoluwa stated this while speaking at the opening ceremony of a orientation programme, organised for the students held in the University campus.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated the students and admonished them to take note of the details of the orientation exercise as “ignorance is not an excuse in law”.

He said the University has enough and adequate facilities to meet their academic need.

He encouraged the students to study hard and imbibe the spirit of discipline as the University will not condone any form of indiscipline.

Earlier in his remarks, the Dean of Students Affairs, Mr Ayodeji Ilugbusi also congratulated the students on their admission, and urged them to know the “do’s and don’ts” of the University

He added that the orientation programme will help to equip the students with the necessary guidance on navigating the, “sometimes tricky, a labyrinth of their academic and social lives”, while they are in the University as students.

Ilugbusi noted that the University has zero-tolerance for indecent behaviours, and warned that any student that is not ready to live a decent and proper life, would face the wrath of the University authority.

The Dean expressed his profound gratitude to University Management for financial support and urgent attention given to any matter relating to students.
