The Benin Electricity Distribution Company BEDC has announced that there would be power outage in Igede and Iyin Ekiti in Irepodun Ifelodun Local Government area of Ekiti State. 
A statement signed by the Management of the Disco and made available to the press by the Corporate Affairs Manager, Mr Ilori Kayode Brown noted that the outage in the two communities was caused by the recent vandalization of cables at the Igede 7.5 MVA injection substation.
The statement assured their customers that efforts were in place to replace the vandalized equipment in order to restore electricity in the two communities. However, it did not specify the exact time the light should be expected.
