The Vice Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa and his wife, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoluwa have been honoured with awards of Excellence by the Inner Wheel Organization.

Adeoluwa and wife Bolanle were among the notable individuals whose efforts towards restoration of cultural values and promotion of women were recognized at the 35th National Annual conference of the Organisation.

The event held at the Ondo State Housing Corporation Event Centre in Ijapo Estate, Akure was graced eminent personalities from within and outside the country

Prof. Adeoluwa was said to have dedicated his life to human service and development while his wife, Bolanle was honoured as an outstanding woman of repute.

The President, National Governing Body of the  Inner Wheel Clubs, Mrs Monilola Bamisaye commended Adeoluwa for the various human and capital development witnessed in the Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology within the few years of his administration which has brought the institution to a global Limelight.

They charged him not to relent but continue to set the pace for others.

Prof. Adeoluwa thanked the organisation for the recognition while promising to continue giving priority the uplift of the school. He said that one of the ways to developing the society is to give more opportunities to women as he said they occupy a vantage position to help in rebuilding the cultural values of any society.

The BOUESTI VC called on the female folks to take advantage of the feminine revolution in politics and governance in order to salvage the collapsing societal system.

Other awardees were the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen, the Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs. Peju Babafemi, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Dr. Olubunmi Ademosun, Chief Olu Bamisaye and others.

The Inner Wheel is an International organisation established to create friendship, service and understanding.
