A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, and erstwhile Woman Leader of the Party at the State Level Hon. Yemisi Afolabi, has lauded Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke of Osun State for the various achievements recorded under his leadership in the last two years.
In a statement issued on Thursday and made available to Journalists in Oshogbo, Osun State and Ado Ekiti capital cities respectively, the former PDP state woman leader in Ekiti State described Governor Adeleke’s tenure as transformative, noting that his administration has brought unquantifiable progress to the people of Osun State through innovative and inclusive governance. 
Afolabi, who personally signed the release, hailed Governor Adeleke as a visionary leader whose determination and resilience have redefined governance in Osun State.
She commended his ability and capability in navigating the challenges posed by political opposition and the impacts previous maladministration in the state and much efforts towards ensuring that the people are placed on a trajectory of growth and development.
Reflecting on the governor’s journey, as he marks his second year in office, Hon. Afolabi applauded Adeleke’s courage particularly during the period he was denied his mandate.
According to her, despite the setbacks and legal battles, the former senator remained undeterred, demonstrating commitment to serving the people of Osun State, the perseverance, she added, has inspired trust and confidence among the populace.
Highlighting Governor Adeleke’s achievements, Afolabi noted that his administration has made significant strides across critical sectors, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure, pointing out that the reconstruction of roads, improvements in school facilities, and the prioritization of accessible healthcare services continues to showcase the governor’s dedication to the welfare of the people.
In addition to infrastructure, Hon. Yemisi Afolabi emphasized the administration’s success in implementing people-centered policies lauding Adeleke’s focus on agriculture and human capital development.
She noted that these initiatives have not only boosted the state’s economy but also improved the quality of life for its citizens. According to her, “all these efforts have endeared the governor to the people, ensuring continued public support for his administration.”
Hon. Afolabi also urged Governor Adeleke to remain steadfast in his vision for Osun State as she encouraged him to continue the careful and strategic approach he has been adopting in handling state affairs, as this has proven effective in addressing the needs of the people and fostering progress.
Speaking on the massiveness and intensity of Governor Adeleke’s achievements, She expressed optimism about the future of Osun State noting that the governor’s emphasis on transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness has set a new standard for governance in the state.
The PDP female stalwart also hailed the governor’s ability to unite the people of Osun State, transcending political and social divides, which is a key strategy at creating an enabling environment for development and innovation, and further positioning Osun as a model state in the country.
Further recognizing the role of Governor Adeleke’s administration in empowering the youth and women, she lauded the governor’s efforts in promoting gender inclusivity and creating opportunities for young people facilitating sustainable development and reducing unemployment.
The Ekiti Political Bigwig reiterated her admiration for Governor Adeleke’s achievements and leadership style, expressing hope that his administration will continue to prioritize the needs of the people and build on the successes recorded in the past two years, for a brighter future for Osun State.
The former PDP Women Leader in Ekiti State further commended the people of Osun for their unalloyed support for the Adeleke-led government, calling on them to sustain their loyalty and cooperation, as well as stressing that collective effort is essential for achieving long-term development in the state.
She called on other leaders in the country to emulate Governor Adeleke’s commitment to service and resilience as she explained that the governor’s approach to governance serves as a reminder that visionary leadership can make a difference, even in the face of adversity.
