The Chairman, Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service (EKIRS), Mr. Olaniran Olatona, has paid a visit to the palace of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Aladesanmi Adejugbe III, to present his Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC).
The visit which highlights the importance of tax compliance and its direct impact on state development is aimed at demonstrating the endorsement of traditional rulers in boosting public confidence in the EKIRS and encourage greater tax compliance among citizens.
Mr. Olatona who expressed gratitude to the monarch for exemplifying civic responsibility and supporting the state’s overall development explained that the Oba Adejugbe has continually sets a good record in the development of the state and commendable example for all citizens praying for the monarch’s continued strength, sound health, and a peaceful reign.
Oba Rufus Aladesanmi Adejugbe who lauded the effort of the EKIRS Chairman and his team for the visit and their commendations acknowledged the significant strides in the state’s development under the visionary leadership of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, attributing this progress to the growth in internally generated revenue.
“The Governor’s outstanding performance serves as an inspiration for citizens to fulfil their civic duties,” Oba Adejugbe remarked. He further praised the professionalism of Mr. Olatona and his team, urging everyone to be tax compliant. “The state’s development is a collective responsibility, and it is essential for all to contribute their fair share,” he emphasized.
