.. Mobilizes Support For APC Governorship Candidate.

Ekiti State Governor’s wife and Chairperson BAO Women Campaign Council, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi says women’s emancipation and empowerment will continue to be given deserved priority if All Progressives Congress APC is voted to power in the coming June 18 Governorship election.

The governor’s wife stated this when she visited some markets in Otun, Ilejemeje, Iye and Oye Ekiti where she patronized market women and men while canvassing for votes for APC.

Erelu Fayemi explained that it would be difficult for another political party to sustain the ongoing developmental projects and programs tailored towards women’s emancipation in the state if APC did not secure the Governorship seat in the coming election.

She said placing women in their rightful positions was essential and challenged markets women not to relent in seeking votes for the APC Governorship Candidate, Mr Biodun Oyebanji so as to build on the various developmental foundations of the present government.

In her remarks, the Ekiti APC Governorship Candidate’s wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji encouraged the people of the state not to allow the laudable programmes of the APC to be put on hold hence the need to vote APC massively in the coming election.

Also, the APC Governorship running mate, Chief Monisade Afuye told the gathering of market women that the party’s Candidate remained the best for the state.

The market visits however featured inauguration of modern neighbourhood markets in Oye and Iye Ekiti where the chairmen of the local government areas appreciated the gesture and solicited the support of the masses to vote for APC in order to enjoy more developmental projects especially at the grassroots .

It could be recalled that the modern neighborhood markets were built in all the 16 Local Governments Areas by Governor Fayemi led administration as requested by the Iyalojas in his first term .

In their contributions, the Oloye of Oye, Oba Oluwole Ademolaju and Onitaji of Itaji Ekiti Oba Adamo Babalola urged government to sustain its drive at developing the grassroots and called on people to continue to support the people’s friendly government that would accede to their plight at all times.
