Easter: Oluwasanmi Greets Ekiti People, Urges Unity, Sacrificial Living

As Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of Ekiti State, calling for a deep reflection on the values of sacrifice, love, hope, and unity that the season represents.

In his Easter message made available to pressmen in Ado Ekiti, capital of the state, Oluwasanmi encouraged the people to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ, including humility, forgiveness, and unwavering love for humanity, describing Easter as a period of spiritual and societal renewal, adding that giving back to society and uplifting the less privileged should be central to daily living.

He urged citizens to embrace the spirit of Easter by living selfless lives and showing compassion to others regardless of religion or political affiliation.

Oluwasanmi, a well-known philanthropist and founder of the Adedayo Oluwasanmi Foundation, stressed that Ekiti would benefit immensely when its people unite beyond divisions to pursue shared progress. “Easter is not just a festival. It is a call to live sacrificially, to love genuinely, and to hope in the face of despair,” he stated.

He also seized the opportunity to applaud the resilience of Ekiti people amid the current economic struggles, expressing optimism that, like the resurrection story, better days would come. According to him, enduring difficulties with hope and unity will lead to triumph for the state and the nation at large.

He called on the youth and the entire populace in the State, particularly in Ekiti East, Gbonyin, Aiyekire and  Emure to stand by the mandate of delivering victory for Governor Oyebanji whom he said is sailing thale ship of the state to economic viability, stability and prosperity.

The pharmacist who commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for steering the state’s affairs with compassion and integrity, particularly in areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment, urged stakeholders including traditional rulers, religious leaders, and the political class to support the administration in building a stronger Ekiti.

Oluwasanmi reiterated his commitment to community development through his foundation, noting that his efforts in health, education, agriculture, and youth development would continue irrespective of the political climate. He called on residents to let the Easter message inspire daily acts of kindness and unity.

Highlighting the importance of moral rebirth, he charged religious leaders to promote messages of tolerance and peace, stressing that Nigeria’s healing requires collective efforts and renewed values and the renewed hope which is the agenda of President Bola Tinubu government.

He also urged Christians to recommit themselves to community development and servant leadership.

The Ode Ekiti born community developer advised families to use Easter as an opportunity to build stronger bonds through forgiveness and understanding, which he described as the foundation of any great society. He also appealed to youths not to lose hope in the face of economic hardship but to embrace innovation and discipline.

Oluwasanmi further lauded the efforts of humanitarian and faith-based organisations in Ekiti, especially women and youth-led groups that have been consistent in supporting the vulnerable through outreach and welfare initiatives, pledging to continue collaborating with such groups to execute sustainable projects tailored towards community needs.
