The Special Task Force Committee on Fuel Scarcity set up by the state government has sealed up a Petrol Station in Ikere Ekiti for hoarding the product and selling at a skyrocketed price.
The team led by its chairman Mr Deji Adesokan visited some petrol stations in Ado Ekiti and Ikere Ekiti.
The Premium Motor Spirit was sold at the ranging prices of 248, 250 and 270 Naira in Ado Ekiti while others in Ikere sold at 270 to 300 Naira.
Commuters who stood hours on que lamented hoarding by some stations who refused to sell despite having the the products.
The chairman of the Task force Committee Mr Adesokan who commended some stations selling at an average price said government was making efforts at bringing succor to the people.
Members of the team including Labour Leaders Mr Kolapo Olatunde and Mr Ṣọlá Adigun express hope that the scarcity would end in few days as the team will visit the nooks and crannies of the state halting the hardship faced by commuters.
Meanwhile the team sealed up SADESH FILLING STATION Ikere Ekiti for hoarding the product and selling at an exhurbitant price.
