An APC stalwart in Zaria, Kaduna State, Haj Talatu Habibu has hailed Governor Uba Sani for slashing school fees of tertiary institutions and declaring free education in both primary and secondary schools in the state.
Talatu Habibu Who served as the state APC deputy chairman and currently Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on community engagement said the move would further strengthen the public confidence in the new administration’s resolve to make life better for the citizens.
She lauded the move describing it as thoughtful and right in the direction of increasing School enrollment and retention which she said was critical to salvaging the state education sector.
Talatu Habibu said the government had in a short while of assumption of office proven to the citizens that the current political era beckons good hope for the state.
Governor Uba Sanni had just approved a slash in the school fees across all the educational institutions owned by the state government.
According to a statement personally signed by the Governor, KADUNA STATE UNIVERSITY paying N150,000 will now pay N105,000 L, NUHU BAMALLI POLYTECHNIC paying N100,00 will paybN50,000 while COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, GIDAN WAYA paying N75,000 will now pay N37,500
Others are SHEHU IDRIS COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY, MAKARFI: HND Courses- Current Fee: N100,000- Reduction (%): 30%- -NewFee: N70,000, ND Courses- Current Fee: N75,000- Reduction (%): 30%- New Fee: N52,000 and KADUNA STATE COLLEGE OF NURSING- Current Fee: N100,000- Reduction (%): 30%- New Fee: N70,000.
Haj. Talatu Habibu described the Governor as a promise keeper urging the people of the state not to relent in their support for the administration and confidence in the personality of the Governor whom he said would not renege on all the promises made during the election.
