NANS/JCC EKITI AXIS WRITES OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR OYEBANJI

Revolutionary greetings from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ekiti State Joint Campus Committee (JCC). We write this open letter to acknowledge and appreciate your continuous hard work and dedication to the growth and development of Ekiti State.

Your leadership has brought about numerous positive changes that are evident in various sectors across the state. Your commitment to education, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development has not gone unnoticed. Your endeavours have proven beneficial not only to the general populace of Ekiti but also to the student community.

However, it is with a heavy heart that we bring to your attention the hardships being faced by students in our state during these trying times. As you are aware, the youth represents the future of our nation, and as such, their welfare should not be overlooked.

We wish to express our concern over the transportation issues being faced by students in the state. Many students find it difficult to commute to and from academic institutions due to the lack of adequate transportation facilities. We, therefore, request your intervention in this matter. We believe that the release of additional buses at subsidized rates, specifically for routes that service academic institutions, would go a long way in alleviating this problem.

In addition, we would like to draw your attention to the issue of essential needs for students. We understand that these are trying times for everyone, and we appreciate your administration’s efforts to provide palliatives to the citizens of Ekiti State. However, we implore you to ensure these relief materials also reach the student community. The provision of these aids would greatly alleviate the burdens on students and promote their academic performance.

Finally, we kindly request that students be considered in the plan and implementation of the state’s general programs. Inclusion of the student community in these programs would not only benefit the students but also contribute to the overall growth and development of Ekiti State.

We are confident in your commitment to the progress of Ekiti State and the welfare of its citizens, including the student populace. We are hopeful that our concerns will be addressed, and we look forward to a more prosperous Ekiti State under your watch.

Thank you for your raving sensitivity and attention to these matters.

Viva Aluta!!
