Oluwasanmi Felicitates Oyebanji at 58, Hails Steady Development in Ekiti

A respected pharmacist and community leader from Ode Ekiti, Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, describing it as a moment to reflect on leadership, service, and steady progress in the state.

Oluwasanmi said the governor’s birthday provides an opportunity for Ekiti people to assess the journey so far and acknowledge the efforts being made to move the state forward in a calm and inclusive manner.

He described Governor Oyebanji as a leader whose approach to governance is rooted in patience, consultation, and continuity, noting that these qualities have helped to stabilise the state and create an atmosphere of peace.

According to him, Ekiti has witnessed visible improvements across several sectors under the current administration, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, security, and social welfare.

Oluwasanmi noted that the government’s focus on education has strengthened learning environments and improved support for teachers and students, reinforcing Ekiti’s long-standing reputation as a centre of knowledge. He also commended the administration’s interventions in the health sector, saying efforts to improve facilities and expand access to care have had a positive impact on communities across the state.

On infrastructure, Oluwasanmi said the governor has shown commitment to projects that ease daily life for residents, particularly road construction and urban development that have improved movement and safety in major towns.

According to him, the quality of works on the various infrastructure projects across the state shows an administration that values durability and proper use of public resources.

Oluwasanmi said the agricultural sector has also received attention, with policies and programmes aimed at supporting farmers, boosting productivity, and improving livelihoods in rural areas as well as creating wealth for the youth through agri-business. He added that these efforts are helping to strengthen the state’s economy and reduce hardship for many households that depend on farming for survival.

The community leader noted that the government’s engagement with the private sector and development partners has helped to open new opportunities for investment and collaboration.

He said improved access, better infrastructure, and a stable environment are gradually making Ekiti more attractive to investors and visitors.

Reflecting on history, Oluwasanmi said Governor Oyebanji’s leadership aligns with the original vision of Ekiti’s founding fathers, which was to build a state driven by development, fairness, and self-reliance. He recalled his role as secretary during the creation of the state and said it is encouraging to see leaders who understand that vision and work to preserve it.

According to him, the governor’s style of governance shows respect for the past while remaining focused on the future. Oluwasanmi urged Governor Oyebanji to remain steadfast and not be distracted, encouraging him to continue prioritising projects and policies that have lasting value.

The community leader also called on Ekiti residents to continue supporting the government, noting that development succeeds best when citizens and leaders work together. He urged the people to make responsible use of public facilities and to protect communal assets for the benefit of present and future generations.

Oluwasanmi concluded by wishing Governor Biodun Oyebanji good health, wisdom, and strength as he marks his 58th birthday, expressing hope that the years ahead will bring deeper progress and shared prosperity for Ekiti State.
