A stalwart of the APC in Ekiti State, Engineer Ayo Omotoso has donated cash gifts to his ward, Itapa/Osin Ward during his solidarity tour with the Senatorial and house of representative Candidate from Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 and the four candidates into the State house of Assembly from Oye and Ikole
The Geological Engineer who is the Convener of Ayo Omotoso Movement AOM and Ayo Omotoso Foundation AOF, noted that the move alongside the campaign materials donated was to further strengthen their campaign ahead of the forth coming general elections in the country on February 25 and March 11, 2023.
“I had willingly donated my widow’s mite to the party and I believe others will do same, my belief is that we all have to support the cause of our party to succeed; that is what is important so that we will continue with the good work that APC led goverment is doing in the state” he remarked.
The house of representative aspirant said it was expidient to vote for all the twenty six state house of Assembly lawmakers in APC, inorder to make governance seamless for Governor Biodun Oyebanji and engender development in the state.
He said,
” You know it will be difficult to have good goverment if we have Assembly that is at logger head with the Governor, Bills that should not take time to pass into laws will be foot dragging owning to different ideology of political players, hence the need to ensure we vote enmass for all our candidates.”
The incoming Senator of the district, Hon. Cyril Fasuyi, thanked the ausete Itapa born engineer for his unflinching support, his love for people and big heart of sportsmanship.
The APC House of Representative candidate, Federal Constituency 1, Hon. Akin Rotimi, while receiving the materials, showered encomium on Engr. Ayo Omotoso, whom he described as a true democratic, astute and intelligent politician and a good party man
Also Comrade Idowu Odebunmi, the candidate for Ekiti state House of Assembly, Oye 2, was elated and praised the philanthropist turned politician.
In his word, another house of Assembly hopeful from Oye Constituency 1, Hon Tope Longe he said the politics of Oye local government is one that is fostered around togetherness and brotherhood adding that Engineer Omotoso has been a unifying force in the axis.
“I have known Engr Ayo from childhood, he is a good and well nurtured person, his father, Àbúrò de Tailor, was also a strong member of the progressives from days of Action Group right to it’s rebirth as APC before his demise in 2019 and his son is sustaining his unrivalled legacy, Longe stated.
They thanked him for the show of love to all the Party’s candidates in Ekiti North Senatorial District.
