The Onigede of Igede Ekiti Oba James Aladesuru has expressed confidence in the capability and Capacity of Mr Babajide Akomolafe to represent the Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency One in the State House of Assembly.
Speaking in his palace while receiving hundreds in the Entourage of the Assembly Hopeful, the Monarch went Memory lane to explaining the lineage of the Akomolafes in the town describing them as brave, selfless and committed to community development.
He noted that Babajide Akomolafe had exhibited the virtues of the lineage having served in various capacities including students and Youth Movements in and outside the state and performed creditably well.
Oba Aladesuru described Babajide Akomolafe as a pride not only to the town but the state, praying that God grants him success in all his endeavous.
Thanking the Onigede for the warm Reception, Mr Babajide Akomolafe Popularly called Aare of Peace, who was the former National President of the Federation of EKiti State Students’ Union, FESSU, highlighted some of the reasons that motivated him joining the race.
He mentioned the need for quality representation and equitable distribution of wealth, creating development opportunities for youth among others.
The train of the team thereafter proceeded to Igede Ward C, at Ilamoye Quarters where more people awaited and greeted the aspirant with a carnival like atmosphere.
The ward Chairman Mr Ilesanmi Bada among other Ward Excos took time to educate the population on the need to see the dream as collective for it’s actualization.
Other leaders in the ward spoke to attest reposed confidence in the aspirant included Chief Arowomotin, Hon. Tope Fadogba, Hon Jide Moon, Mr Ayo Oguntade, Mrs Sanya Olubisi, Mrs FF Alade, Chief Mrs Olofin, the mother of the aspirant Mrs Akomolafe, among others.
In furtherance to show the love and unity among the party faithfuls, Other aspirants for the same position in the area from within and outside the party came to witness the Declaration. Where they were all given the opportunity to speak on the Personality of Mr Babajide Akomolafe.
Some of the Assembly Aspirants include Hon. Soji Oloro, Akogun Tope Dumiye, and Mr Richard Olaolorun. They lauded the various development initiatives of Mr Akomolafe, describing him as well qualified to represent the people. They explained that the Social Democratic party remained one indivisible party and that whosoever emerged would be given full and total support.
