The Chairman and members of the Ekiti State Waste Management Board have congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his emergence as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the June 20, 2026 governorship election in the state.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Board’s Chairman, Prince Oladele Adeniyi, the members described Governor Oyebanji’s emergence as a well-deserved recognition of his visionary leadership, sterling performance, and unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of Ekiti State.
According to the statement, the unanimous decision of the party to adopt Governor Oyebanji as its flag bearer is a resounding testament to the confidence reposed in his purposeful governance and people-oriented policies.
The Board commended the governor’s administration for its inclusive approach to governance and the various impactful programmes that have strengthened the social and economic development of the state.
It particularly lauded the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability and public health, citing the support given to the Waste Management Board and the far-reaching reforms in sanitation and waste disposal across Ekiti State.
“These efforts have greatly enhanced the cleanliness and livability of our communities,” the statement read.
IThe Board noted that Governor Oyebanji’s humility, accessibility, and passion for service have endeared him to both party members and the general public, adding that his re-election bid would further consolidate the achievements recorded in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and human capital development.
“Your emergence as the consensus candidate is a clear indication of the unity and collective resolve within our great party to sustain the trajectory of good governance under your leadership,” the statement added.
The Waste Management Board, while reaffirming its total loyalty and support for the governor, expressed confidence in his vision to build a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous Ekiti State.
