NIGERIAN PRESIDENT MUST IMMEDIATELY DECLARE WANTED, ARREST YINKA OYEBODE, CHIEF PRESS SECRETARY TO GOVERNOR FAYEMI

One of the Major problems of Africa, most especially Nigeria is that its people are often beclouded with ignorance which makes them succumb and celebrate people who inflict life injuries on their future and the future of their generations unborn.

It takes only the few reasoning heads and critically philosophising minds to shun to ways of the “Hallelujah singing” multitude and challenge the status quo of which to dare is to die.

Meanwhile, I am not afraid to expose the hidden secrets of Mr Olayinka Oluyomi Oyebode, the Chief Press Secretary to the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi who many people would always appraise for whatever character or personality they perceive he possessed.

I know and quite very sure that alot of people will raise eyebrow, curse, fight and attack me because of this, but I am not afraid of anything coming after exposing the secrets of “Yinka Oyebode”. I see no reason to add any title to his name because I doubt if he deserves my respect. I care not about your abuses because even Jesus Christ lost the democratic election conducted by Pontius the Pilate to thief Banabars in the Bible.

OLAYINKA OLUYOMI OYEBODE is a man I know very well. For those who may want to argue in his favour, this is a man I know too well for a long time. He is from Ido- Ile Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government area and he recently buried his 95 years old father, a retired headmaster who once worked at Saint Joseph Primary School Aramoko Ekiti.

Yinka graduated from Ondo State University Ado Ekiti with B.A Hons English and Literary Studies between 1990 and 1994, He bagged certificate of political reporting and policy investigation from the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) Berlin in 2009. He also bagged Master of Journalism (MJ),  Investigative journalism from the King’s college in 2017.

His late father Chief Samuel Oladipo Oyebode was the Mayegun of Saint John’s Anglican Church Ido Ile Ekiti. Yinka has been a journalist for many years, he worked with The Punch and The Nation Newspapers as an Assistant Editor before working with the wife of the Ekiti State Governor Erelu Bisi Fayemi between 2010 -2014 and the first lady nicknamed him “AGANRAN” for the reasons best known to her.

Yinka became the Spokesperson to Dr Fayemi when he was a minister and later appointed as the Chief Press Secretary at the second coming of the Governor in 2018.

I have only peeped alittle into his background for you to know that I know him too well in and beyond journalism. I kept wondering what had blindfolded people who continued to celebrate Yinka Oyebode year in year out. I begin to ask what has come over us in this part of the world? Can’t we see beyond our noses? Why can’t we research more into people before sing praising them?. Seriously! Only God knows what Fayemi and his wife Erelu had seen in ordinary Yinka Oyebode over the years.

I was particularly angered with how people, including his siblings, relatives, political associates of his par, leaders, across political parties, people from his Ido Ile hometown etc. showered encomium on Yinka Oyebode at the burial ceremony of his late father at Ido Ile Ekiti.

Different adjectives were used to qualify this guy, such as a rallying point, good organizer, a man with great humlity, very generous, handsome, coolheaded, intelligent, brilliant, caring, loving, concerned, friendly, diligent, firm, trustworthy, honest to mention but a few.

I began to ruminate and ask myself, are all these indeed true about Yinka Oyebode? I do not join and will never join the bandwagons of people celebrating frivolities and evils.

I am not surprised, alot of people are again writing fine texts and making glowing speeches about him again, today being his 51st birthday.

I will only beg you to hear me out before criticizing my stand on why people who celebrate a man like Yinka Oyebode need a rethink. This is a man who should be urgently declared wanted and arrested immediately by the Nigerian President.

A Yoruba adage says ” Omo inu ogba, kogbudo sishu yo” the English translation to this implies that a child who lives in the hut, trained and monitored the yam bank must not misplace, or mistake the arrangement of yams stored in the bank.

Yinka Oyebode can never surprise me. NEVER! I MEAN NEVER. He is a son of a well respected community leader and teacher when education was valued. He has a humble background as his father instilled very great discipline in him and his siblings. He is well trained and well exposed to the values and virtues of OMOLUABI. He is a peacemaker, a bridge, a man with high native intelligence, humane and cosmopolitan in nature.

Why would I be surprised of his achievements? Why should I be amazed that he is a model and mentor to alot of the younger ones near and far away from him. The fruit does not fall far from the tree. Yinka’s father, the late Chief Samuel Oladipo Oyebode trained alot of children in Ido-Ile, Aramoko, Okemesi and other towns within Ekiti state when he was a teacher. Chief Oyebode set a model and pace for moral standards for his children, wards, community, church and clubs when he was alive.

Why would his son surprise me? Yinka has never shifted the landmarks of home training given him by his father. No wonder Erelu Bisi Fayemi gave him AGANRAN (Mint) as an appellation. Yinka is indeed a mint, refined, neat, well composed, firm, calm, straightforward and he doesn’t pretend.

No wonder, His Excellency Dr Kayode Fayemi has no worry on any assignment given to Yinka, No wonder you will never see him attacking personalities of people with opposing views even though he is a well trained and experienced wordsmith. Yinka is a democrat who believes in self development, individual growth and collective fulfillment.

He places much respect on collective interest over self. This is a man whom Nigeria needs in higher capacity. Many people within Ekiti state and other Nigerians in the 36 states of the federation who have come across Yinka OYEBODE have attested to his amazing personality and had at different fora declared him wanted for higher grounds. He is loyal, responsible, reliable, dependable, accountable committed, focus, selfless, he never betrays. Yinka prefers wisdom to smartness, He is a family man to the core.

Methinks it is high time Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari of now or the next president of the nation declared OLAYINKA OLUYOMI OYEBODE arrested to serve his fatherland more, in good faith and responsibility.

It is time to let people with good hearts good intentions, good personalities, efficient and capable brains step in the shoes of leadership to step up the country and stem the tides of backwardness facing our nation.

He is one of the great assets as human capital resources of Nigeria. Such humans should not be left unused with our fatherland facing paradox of plenty.
