The Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP) in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Poll in Ekiti State, Chief Adebayo Segun Oni has met aspirants for various Elective positions under the flag of the party, assuring them that the landmark of justice, equity and fairness that the Party is known for remains the watchword and standard for all members.
Speaking at the event which had all the Senate, House of Rep and House of Assembly aspirants of the party at the CSO family house in Ado Ekiti, the former Governor and SDP standard bearer noted that it was important to present a United front. He assured them that rewards would be served based on efforts and successes recorded by the aspirants in their various polling units, wards, constituencies and senatorial Districts.
He lauded the various moves and steps made by the members of the party towards the acceptability enjoyed by the candidacy of ONI/OWOLABI.
Earlier had the party Chairman Mr Dele Ikunola announced 25th of May as the Deadline for obtaining Expression form and the nomination form for the aspirants.
He charged them to work assiduosly in clinching victory for the party in the election, what he said would be the green light to the aspirations of others.
Also the Director General Segun Oni Campaign Organization Ambassador Dare Bejide thanked the people for their support why charging them to be peaceful in their campaigns noting that the good reputation of Segun Oni must not be soiled. He however assured them of adequate security in the second phase of the campaign which is bided to start soonest.
Meanwhile, a political Pressure group E-10 has charged all aspirants of the SDP to put all their aspirations behind them and push for the SDP’s victory in the Election.
The E-10 chairman Mr Abolade Ajala said that it was time to rescue the state and a concerted effort is needed to restore life back to the populace.
