Students Loan: BOUESTI VC Adeoluwa Says It’s practical step to tackling education challenges as University matriculates 3490 students

The Vice Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and technology Ikere Ekiti, Prof Olufemi Adeoluwa has described the new students loan law signed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as one of the bold steps to rescuing the nation’s education sector.

Prof Adeoluwa speaking after the matriculation ceremony of about three thousand four hundred and Ninety students admitted into the school noted that the federal government under the leadership of Tinubu has been demonstrating a clear understanding of how to tackle some of the challenges of the nation.

According to him, the fastest growing State University in the country, just like other standard university of global reckon, had already been implementing relief programs such as “Work as you learn” to make education easy and accessible to indigent students, as a way of creating equal opportunity for all students.

Prof Adeoluwa explained that part of the mandates given by the state government under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the Governing council of the institution was to ensure the school produces the best in terms of quality graduate who are self –reliant after their study years.

The VC explained that the school did not achieve the feat of the global recognition without the enabling facilities, qualified personnel, ICT, entrepreneurship skill as well as adequate security of lives and property.

He called on the newly matriculated students to shun cultism, indecent dressing, warning that the university would not spare any act capable of bringing the university into disrepute.

Also the Ekiti State JAMB coordinator charged the students to maintain the good image the school is known for.
Some of the students who were enthusiastic of their admission promised to make their parents proud.
