The Deputy Chief of Staff to The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Tolu Ibitola has assured members of the public that the continuity agenda of making the APC candidate Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) take over from Governor Fayemi was the best thing that could happen to the state at this current period.
Tolu Ibitola made this known during another phase of the quarterly get together with the people from various towns in Ido Osi Local government area.

The gathering which coincided with the Easter celebration was made an open party with influx of party leaders, party faithfuls, people from other political parties and members of the public. People trooped in their hundreds, as they were given food items, material gifts and cash to enjoy the Easter season.
Tolu Ibitola who was accompanied members of the Youth and Students Mobilization committee for Biodun Oyebanji’s campaign explained that the APC was very careful at the choice of Oyebanji among others who aspired to be the Progressives’ Party flag bearer, having being a major stakeholder since the inception of the State and knowing fully well that the development of the state is paramount.
He noted that the chain and the system of developments across different towns must not be allowed to be broken or truncated in order to avert retrogression.
According to him:
” We’ve had political eras in this state, and we can see the differences. Our leader Dr Kayode Fayemi has lifted the state from shambles. He was very committed at fixing the foundations and setting the blocks of development, creating the avenue for individuals, groups, organizations and towns to actualize their aspirations.
What else can we ask for if not continuity? What can anybody from another party give us that we already not have? Though the largest room in the world, is the one for improvement, we shall continue to improve on the good that the APC is giving the state, and that is why continuity at this time is the best way to go. APC is winning, but we must not forget to educate others who are still doubting. Today is not for talks, we are here to wine and dine for Easter”.
The people were treated to nicety and tastes of delicacies as it was a party to dignify the masses.
Some of the Party leaders at the occasion include, Hon. Gbenga Agbeyo, Hon Yomi Ayorinde, the Senatorial women leader for the APC Mrs Felicia Ibiloye, local government women Leader, Grace Olayinka, Folasade Aduke, Ido/Osi Local Government Party Chairman, all Ward chairmen in Ido/OSI and their Excutives.
They expressed no surprise at the gesture of Mr Ibitola whom they said had always been with them and empowering people at every opportunity during the quarterly interactive session. They commended him for taking dividends of democracy beyond the doorstep but to the sitting room of people while they charged other political leaders to emulate Tolu Ibitola.
“Well! we are not surprised at this. This is what he’s always been doing for years here, we have had series of this here and today cannot take is aback. The only thing that baffles us is the influx of the PDP and SDP members who are here to wine and dine with us, complaining bitterly about their party. Seriously, We didn’t expect it.
Many of them are groaning, they are suffering silently. We have told them to declare for APC openly and join us officially. We will work on them. Tolu has shown good examples, his efforts and personality is loved by all, that is why people across party lines are here. It is another opportunity to talk to them. If other public office holders could be doing this, APC elections would always be free ride for us” Moradeke Ajayi from Ora Ekiti said.
Some of the average citizens expressed their love and confidence in Tolu Ibitola. They said whatever he says as pertaining to politics in the area would not be given a second thought.
