Marketers in Fayose Market Ado Ekiti have appealed to the State Governor Biodun Oyebanji to help address the different cases of harassment by officers of security agencies particularly the Army and police personnel within the technology village.
The Chairman of the Association of Marketers in the Market Engineer Gbenga Daniel made the plea today saying that there have been different cases of customers coming to the Market to harass phone and computer sellers and engineers over unfounded claims.
The Chairman also called for the replacement of Police officers working within the market saying that many of them are no longer protecting lives and property but financially extorting customers and shop owners.
Recall that last week, the marketers protested the arrest of one of their members by a client who bombarded the market with soldiers.
The SSA special duty to the Governor Chief Femi Aduloju quickly attended to the marketers promising that government would address all cases begging for attention in order to create an enabling environment for their businesses.
