Youth organizations, Associations and Unions in Ekiti State have formed a coalition that will engage politicians across political parties seeking to be elected in the forthcoming elections in the state.
The decision was reached during the general meeting of youth groups in Ekiti states held on the 20th April, 2022. The various groups to form the Coalition of Ekiti youth groups and convene the Ekiti youth townhall include:Ekiti Youth Parliament (EYP), Ekiti Future Agenda (EFA), Coalition of Nigerian Youths on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA), Young Voters and Mobilizers Association of Nigeria (YVAMAN) and Nigeria Association of Uniform Volunteers Organisation (NAUVO).
Also part of the groups are Association of Ekiti Local Government Student Union President (AELOGSUP), Federation of Ekiti State Student Union (FESSU), Yoruba Council of Youths Ekiti Chapter, Youth Alternative Leadership Movement of Nigeria, Ekiti-State Network,(YALMON), Conversation Ekiti, Ekiti Youth Arise, Ekiti Youth Agenda, and National Youth Council of NIgeria.
The central working committee for the Ekiti Youth Townhall is comprised of one representative each from the listed organizations while the coordinators of the activities of the steering committee are Adesina Adetola, Bimbo Aladejare Salako, and Mayowa Olajide Akinleye.
