Leaders across different segment of the society have lauded the current political and religious order in Ekiti state which they said had engender peace and development for the people.

Speaking with News men at the residence of the Ekiti State Governor Mr. Biodun Oyebanji in Ikogosi Ekiti, religious and political leaders who paid Christmas homage to the Governor explained that the state had witnessed peaceful and harmonious co-existence in the past two years of his administration.

The hilltop residence of the Governor was agog with political stalwarts in the state including the the leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Senator Cyril Fasuyi representing Ekiti North and a member of the House of Reps Mr Olusola Fatoba among others who came to felicitate the Governor on Christmas.

According to them, the Governor has rapidly increased the tempo of peace and progress in the state with his style of all- inclusive governance, building harmony and evenly distributing resources without any segregation and reference to religious and political affiliations.

Also the President of Imams and Alfas, Southwest Edo and Delta Sheik Jamiu Kewulere who was also at the residence of the Governor to present a Christmas gift, explained that the current administration had risen beyond religious sentiments but running the government based on transparency and accountability.

The cleric noted that the Muslim community would continue in their support for the government praying that God grants more successes to the leadership of the state.

Responding, Governor Oyebanji who thanked the various leaders for their support charged the people of the state to take a cue from the lessons of Christmas which he said was about showing love and kindness to the people.
