New Year, New System: Ekiti Poly Rector Adesodun Deploys New technologies to monitor activities on Campus, hammers on Discipline for staff, Students

The Rector, Ekiti State Polytechnic Isan Ekiti Prof Johnson Adesodun has assured members of staff that the 2024 would be a remarkable year for the institution, its staff, students and the entire Polytechnic community as he advocate unity to achieving the outlined mission and vision of the school.

The rector said this during a specially organized new year program and prayer session for the school, calling for more  discipline among members particularly to shun any and every act that could bring the reputation of the institution into disrepute.

The Rector who went on the popular slogan “NEW YEAR NEW SYSTEM” explained that new technology have been deployed and would henceforth be employed to monitor the movement and activities staff and students within the school.

According to him, the move which should not be seen as a way to but witch-hunt anyone was to match the international standards of technology schools globally.

Prof Adesodun who also promised to improve on welfare of the staff, asked them to work towards increasing the enrollment of more students.

According to a statement signed by
Martins Olowoyo, PRO, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti, the Rector informed the gathering that the institution will have its first convocation this year having gotten full accreditation for all its programmes. He also announced that the school is set to propose 4 new programmes to include: Business Administration, Quantity Survey, Science Lab Tech, and Library and Information Science.

It was an atmosphere of praise and worship at the Premises of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti as staff members converged to appreciate God for his mercy and love over them to witness year 2024 in good and sound health.

Different songs were rendered to appreciate God while prayers were offered to commit the new year unto the hands of the Lord.

In his sermon during the annual prayer held at the Polytechnic Conference Hall, the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr Johnson Ayodeji Akerele advised staff members to embark on steps that could move them forward this year and always seek the face of God for directions.

The programme was well attended by the Polytechnic Bursar Mr Johnson Oludayo Awe and the Librarian, Dr Johnson Ayodeji Akerele among other academic leaders of the Polytechnic.
