One of the leading House of Assembly aspirants under the platform of the All Progressive Congress Mr Ayodeji Adarabierin has picked the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the Ado Constitency one House of Assembly seat in Ekiti State.
Adarabierin who was the first person to obtain the forms among other contestants noted that he got the form from the Party Secretariat in Abuja and stressed the need to allow for healthy Party Politics in the interest of all.
The house of Assembly hopeful said that the collection of the expression of interest and nomination forms has dowsed the palpable tension in the party that the form will not be made available to all aspirants but for some chosen individuals.
He debunked the purported claims that some leaders in the party were rooting for some anoited aspirants.
Mr Adarabierin who described the leader of the party in the state Governor Kayode Fayemi as a true Democrat said that the Governor would not encourage such practices capable of disintegrating the party.
“Dr Fayemi that I know will not support imposition of any aspirants the Governor is a man of struggle who also reclaimed his mandate and he is a father for all and I believe he will allow level playing ground for everyone of us, he said.
Mr Adarabierin who expressed confidence in the ability of the leadership of the party to conduct rancour free primaries also said that a meeting was held in all the APC wards in Ado Ekiti where the imposition claim was refuted.
According to him, with free and fair Party primaries across all level in the Party, APC is poised for victory as such process will produce the best candidate that will fly the Party’s flag in the 2023 General Election.
Mr Adarabierin further assured members of his constituency a robust representation if given the mandate and urged his Supporters to keep campaigning for the emergence of the Party’s governoship candidate Mr Biodun Oyebanji in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
He encouraged other aspirants to obtain their forms and exhibit spirit of sportmanship during before and after the Party’s primaries.
