The Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Engagement, Hon. Folashade Olubunmi Adaralegbe, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful in Ekiti State as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message on Sunday, Adaralegbe congratulated the Muslim community for successfully completing the 30-day fasting period, describing it as a time of spiritual renewal, sacrifice, and devotion. She urged them to uphold the virtues of love, patience, and self-discipline imbibed during the Ramadan season.
She emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a moment of gratitude and reflection, calling on Muslims to continue their acts of kindness, charity, and commitment to peaceful coexistence in the state. According to her, the festival presents an opportunity for renewed dedication to the values of tolerance and unity.
Adaralegbe also called on the Muslim faithful to sustain their prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Ekiti State. She noted that Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration remains committed to the welfare of all residents, irrespective of religious affiliation, and continues to implement policies that foster inclusivity and development.
She commended the Muslim community for their contributions to the socio-economic growth of the state, noting that their resilience and dedication to communal harmony have played a crucial role in sustaining peace in Ekiti. She urged them to continue supporting the government’s initiatives aimed at improving the standard of living in the state.
The governor’s aide further encouraged residents to use the festive period to strengthen bonds of friendship and promote religious harmony. She stressed that unity among people of different faiths remains essential for the overall development of the state.
Adaralegbe assured the Muslim faithful that Governor Oyebanji’s administration would not relent in its efforts to provide an enabling environment for all residents to thrive.
