The Adedayo Oluwasanmi Foundation (AOF) has called on Nigerians, especially the Muslim faithful, to use the sacred period of Ramadan to offer fervent prayers for the nation’s leaders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and others, for divine direction in steering the country toward progress and prosperity.
In a goodwill message to Muslims for the ongoing Ramadan fast, the founder of the Foundation Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi emphasized the importance of seeking Allah’s guidance for leaders at all levels to make decisions that will alleviate hardship and foster national development. It noted that in these trying times, the unity of the people and their support through prayers and goodwill are crucial in achieving collective growth.
“Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and charity, but it is also a time to pray for our leaders. As President Tinubu and Governor Oyebanji work towards repositioning the country and Ekiti State for greater development, we urge Nigerians to keep them in their prayers, asking for divine wisdom and strength to lead us to the promised land,” the statement read.
The Foundation stressed that governance is a shared responsibility, requiring not only the commitment of elected officials but also the prayers and support of the people. It encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and actively contribute to nation-building by promoting peace, tolerance, and communal progress.
Acknowledging the economic and social challenges facing many Nigerians, AOF reiterated that only through faith, resilience, and unity can the country overcome its struggles. It urged religious and community leaders to continue working in harmony and collaboration, ensuring that the spirit of Ramadan extends beyond the fasting period.
The Foundation also lauded the efforts of the Tinubu-led administration in implementing economic reforms and programs aimed at improving the lives of citizens. It encouraged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive, trusting that with divine guidance and strategic leadership, the nation would achieve greater stability and prosperity.
Also, the AOF founder commended Governor Oyebanji for replicating the federal government’s development agenda in Ekiti State, particularly in areas of infrastructure, agriculture, education, and social security. It called on the people to rally behind him and other leaders at the state and local government levels, ensuring that governance remains people-centered and impactful.
As the holy month progresses, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian services and prayed that Allah grants all Muslims the strength to complete their fast while showering blessings upon Nigeria. “May this Ramadan bring renewed hope, peace, and progress to our nation,” the statement concluded.
