Non Governmental Organization, Adunni and Late Monisade Foundation, (ALMF) has conducted the last phase of the screening for the selection of 25 persons within Ekiti state to be sponsored for training in their chosen Vocations and grants thereafter.
About 75 candidates made it to the interview stage among which 25 of whose proposals are convincingly detailed will benefit from the second season of the empowerment program.
The people in their various categories include, Fashion Designing, Baking and Confectionaries, Make-up and Beauty, Phone and Laptop Repairs and lastly Barbing, would be sponsored free of charge for the period of apprenticeship while they also gets grants and start up capital at the end of their training.
The founder of the Adunni and Late Monisade Foundation, also the CEO of Olaline ICT, Ado Ekiti, Mr Olabanji Ojo Festus who explained that the 2 year old NGO had distributed Free JAMB forms for some select students in Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo states as part of the empowerment programs in the Season 1, said that the Foundation thought it wise to also assist those who have chosen entrepreneurship in Season 2

He noted that the alarming rate of unemployment and poverty in Nigeria was as a result of over reliance on government for economic empowerment, saying that Nigeria’s education system must blend classwork with hand work, placing more priority on skills and talents.
He further explained that the gesture of helping the less privileged was due to the training he received from his grandmother, the late Monisade whom he lived with while growing up.
Olabanji Ojo Charged the selected beneficiaries to take advantage of the opportunity while assuring those who were not selected to give more trials in the next phase which he promised would accommodate more numbers across the three states: Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo
Some of the Dignataries at the event include Prophet Julius Akindele, Lady Evangelist Victoria Olowo, Mr Oni and the Former President, Ekiti State Association of GSM engineers Mr Olorunsola Ogunleye.
They commended the effort of Mr Festus Ojo Olabanji describing it as giant and devoid of political motives.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the ALMF founder and CEO of Olaline ICT Ado Ekiti for the privileged as they prayed more divine blessings upon his endeavours.
