In its annual tradition, steadfastly observed on every first Sunday of the new year, the Odo-Ode Youths Forum, a non-political social group in Afao Ekiti, Irepodun Ifelodun Local Government and Ifedara LCDA, has again extended its benevolent act of generous donations to elderly and vulnerable within the community.
The donation; cash and kind, essential foodstuffs in particular, valued at over three hundred thousand naira, was distributed as part of their New Year’s goodwill.
During the event held in Afao, the group’s coordinator, Mr. Ali Omolayo, highlighted the significance of honoring the new year alongside the elderly women saying that more than a hundred women, were catered for under the initiative this year.
Items such as rice, spaghetti, salt, Maggi, and a cash were gifted to the beneficiaries.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Olufunke conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Odo-Ode Youths Forum Afoa Ekiti for their compassionate outreach.
She called upon other groups in the town to emulate this gesture, urging them to extend similar support to those in need.
Her prayers also extended to the Odo-Ode group and the broader Afao Ekiti community, for continued goodwill and unity.
