The former Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly Rt Hon Olubunmi Adelugba has described the demise of the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Bar Paul OMOTOSHO as a monumental loss to Nigeria and particularly to Ekiti State.
In a statement personally signed and made available to the press, Adelugba expressed shock and sorrow over the untimely passing of Bar Paul OMOTOSHO.
The erstwhile speaker who mourned that the late party chairman, who was instrumental in fostering continuity in the governance of the state, could not witness the continuing progress under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership.
She noted that the deceased would be fondly remembered as a confidant, brother, and steadfast party leader who possessed the remarkable quality of speaking the truth with tact, regardless of consequences. She deontological worldview of the late Chairman earned him trust and respect from both local and national party leaders.
In her words,
“Indeed, our Party, our State, the nation, and humanity at large have suffered a great loss with the passing of Barrister Paul Omotosho.”
Adelugba hailed the late chairman as a humble, insightful, and sociable leader, attributing to him various pivotal roles in advancing the unity, stability, and success of the APC at local, state, and national levels.
The former Speaker extended his condolences to the APC leadership, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, party members, and the immediate family of Bar Paul OMOTOSHO, praying for divine comfort and solace for all affected by the loss, emphasizing that Bar Paul OMOTOSHO’s absence will be keenly felt.
