The Regional Choir Executives and Choir Leaders in District Coordinating Councils (DCCs), Zones, Districts and and Assemblies in CAC Churches in Sophia Ajayi Region held the Regional Choir first quarter meeting on Sunday 17th March 2024 at CAC Regional HQ, Ogbaalafia, Ado Ekiti.
The Regional Choirmaster, Elder Gbenga Agbeti, who presided over the meeting, welcomed all Choir leaders in the Regional and prayed for more spiritual strength for God’s work. He equally appreciated the efforts of leaders in the music department in the region.
The meeting, among other things, ratified the programmes lined up for 2024 as follows
I. Leadership Seminar, Sat 13th April 2024
2. International Music Ministers Conference at Ikeji 23rd to 26th July 2024
3. Regional Community Hymn Singing 25th August 2024
4. National Carol Service 13th Dec 2024
5. Regional Carol Service 22nd December 2024
Members comended the first Regional Choir Seminar scheduled for Saturday 13th April 2024 and agreed to start mobilising members in the Regional for the *very important* event that will feature lecture and intense practical training on the rudiment of music, (sight reading) at a cost of #500 per chorister.
The meeting also considered the report of the previous year Regional Choir Activities presented by the Regional Choir Secretary, Dr Adaramoye Toyin.
