The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye has laid the foundation for a Table Games Gallery designed to enhance recreation in his constituency.
Performing the exercise in his country home, Odo Ayedun on Monday, Aribasoye explained that the self-sponsored initiative was conceptualized to assist his constituents in easing tension, regulating temper, unwinding, raising global games champions, and checking avoidable vices and crises.
He said the recreational project, would include table tennis, ayo olopon, draft games, Chess , Scrabble and snooker, among others.
Speaking on the initiative, the Speaker’s Chief of Staff, Olamide Aribisala, applauded him for the unique idea, which would be replicated across other wards in Ikole Constituency Two, urging the people to sustain support for him to do more.
Also In their remarks, the project supervisor, Chief Sola Alaso, and a community leader, Chief Alonge Folorunso, described the Speaker as a promise keeper, a true representative of his people, and a core grassroots man who had done much to establish himself politically and also project the Biodun Oyebanji administration.
The Project Engineer, Busuyi Adelugba, also assured of a good delivery.
Meanwhile the Speaker has called on his constituents to continue to mobilize support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji noting that his coordinated leadership has led to the height of development witnessed in the State.
The Speaker, who reached out to the people in his usual manner reiterated that the new year will witness more of his interventions in areas of job and appointment facilitation, attraction of basic amenities, and promotion of human capital development as a matter of priority.
He had a stopover at Ipao junction in Oke Ayedun where a jubilant crowd welcomed him before visiting the drivers’ union building to inspect the level of work done, promising to provide support towards its completion.
The lawmaker also went to check the vandalized transformer at Oke Igbala in Oke Ayedun, assuring that the repair will be looked into.
Aribasoye, who the people, including some who just resumed jobs facilitated by him, appreciated for his constant visit and undying interest in their welfare, had in December intervened for the fixing of two vandalized transformers within the constituency.
He later returned to Ado Ekiti the State capital where he attended other events.
