Ekiti Women Affairs Commissioner Babafemi Commends Staff, Gifts Cash Outstanding Performers

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. ‘Peju Babafemi has commended Staff of the Ministry for their performance in rendering social welfare services to the people in the last year.

The Commissioner gave the commendation during her 2024 maiden meeting with the management and staff of the Ministry in Ado-Ekiti.

The Commissioner who encouraged workers to passionately drive the
government agenda, assured them of the administration’s commitment to
prioritize workers’ welfare within the available resources.

“Let us do our best to drive the government agenda with all our
vigours and be strategic in it, I want to assure you that the
government will also give the welfare of workers the uttermost
priority within the available resources”, Babafemi stated.

In a statement by Mr Femi Bamisaye
Director Press, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Babafemi urged the staff to raise the bar of performance and work hard to

bring succor to the vulnerable and voiceless in line with the
compassionate leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Stressing the pivotal role of the Ministry, Babafemi emphasized the
need for positive impacts from the Ministry on issues relating to
women, girls, children, and the vulnerable across the State.

The Commissioner highlighted Governor Oyebanji’s achievements in the
past year and reiterated the administration’s dedication to enhancing
the quality of life for Ekiti People.

She emphasized the importance and valuable contributions of every
staff member, assuring that good suggestions from them would be acted
upon to enhance quality service delivery to the people.

The Commissioner praised and gave cash awards to two outstanding
Staff members, Tolulope Ogunniyi in the Child Development Department
and Ayodeji Ajayi in the Finance and Accounts Department for making
the Ministry proud by winning the 2023 Ekiti State Civil Service
Intermediate and Junior Cadre awards respectively.

Babafemi expressed her gratitude for the support received from the
staff in the past year and urged them to contribute even more in 2024.

In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Tayo Olatilu called on
staff to be more diligent and work as a team in implementing the
ministry’s work plan.

I’m One of the awardees, Tolulope Ogunniyi thanked the leadership of the
Ministry for the awards recognition and the cash gifts, saying that it
would encourage and spur them to do more for the development of the
State.
